Assault with a Deadly Weapon Arrest 
On 5/8/2025 at approximately 1124 hours, El Cerrito Police Officers responded to a battery in the 10300 block of San Pablo Avenue. Upon arrival, officers found a 55-year-old male victim suffering from a stab wound to the abdomen. The victim was transported to John Muir in Walnut Creek. The victim is in stable condition and expected to fully recover.
Circulating patrol units located and arrested Devin Gonzales, a 41-year-old homeless man. Gonzales was positively identified as the suspect during an in-field show up. He was booked into the jail at the El Cerrito Police Department and later transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.
