Azalea Classic 5K Sat 5/10, 8AM–12PM. No parking/road closures start Fri 5/9, 8PM. Plan ahead & drive safely.

On Saturday, May 10, 2025, the Azalea Classics 5k run will take place in the town of University Park. In conjunction with this event, there will be parking restrictions along the race route and street closures that motorists should take into consideration.

The following streets will be posted as Emergency No Parking from Friday, May 9, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. through Saturday, May 10, 2025, at 12 p.m.:

 - 6400 - 6700 Blocks of Queens Chapel Road

- 4200 - 4300 Blocks of Woodberry Street

- 4300 Block of Clagett-Pineway

- 4000 - 4200 Blocks of Clagett Road

- 6800 - 6900 Blocks of Pineway

- 4400 Block of Beechwood Road

- 6900 Block of Oakridge Road

- 6600 - 7000 Blocks of Wells Parkway

- 3800 - 3900 Blocks of Calverton Drive

- 6900 - 7000 Blocks of Chansory Lane

- 7000 Block of 40th Avenue

- 6900 Block of Forest Hill Drive

- 4000 Block of Van Buren Street

These streets will be closed to all vehicle traffic on Saturday, May 4, 2024, from approximately 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

By observing the temporary parking restrictions and road closures, you are helping us create a safe and welcoming environment for runners, families, and visitors. Instructions:

Move all vehicles off posted streets by 8:00 p.m. on Friday, May 9 to avoid towing.

Avoid travel through the race route area during the event on Saturday, May 10, between 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.

Use alternate routes and allow extra travel time if driving near the event area.

Respect all posted signage and barricades; they are in place for everyone’s safety.
