The DC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) and the Department of General Services (DGS) are pleased to announce that the playground and bocce ball courts in Garfield Park are now OPEN!
 
The remaining work, including grass re-seeding, tennis court striping/painting, and tennis net installation, is estimated to be completed by May 16, weather permitting.

The areas below in RED are still being worked on:



Additional improvements completed as part of this project include: 

• Replacement and resurfacing of playground areas 
• ADA accessibility upgrades 
• Refurbished volleyball court 
• Tennis court surface enhancements 
• Landscaping improvements
