Starting Monday 5/12 South Jersey Gas will be doing utility work in the area of Hawthorne Dr, Forrest Green Rd and Laurelwood Dr. 
HAWTHORNE DRIVE PROJECT
South Jersey Gas is improving our natural gas infrastructure that
provides safe, reliable, affordable natural gas to 400,000
customers across southern New Jersey.
The upcoming work in your neighborhood is part of our company’s
ongoing pipeline replacement program, which upgrades aging
natural gas mains and services with new, durable plastic.
We may dig on your property as part of this work. A temporary
repair will be made until final restoration occurs, typically within
60 to 90 days. Openings in concrete will be temporarily patched
with asphalt until final restoration occurs. Openings made in
grass areas during the winter may not be restored until warmer
weather to facilitate growth.
Residents along this project route will have access to and from
their properties at all times. Appropriate traffic control personnel
will direct motorists and pedestrians around all work.

Project Scope
•Work will take place Monday through
Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Some Saturday work during the
same time frame may occur.
• Our certified contractor will replace
aging gas mains with new, durable
plastic pipe.
• Service lines from the gas main in
the street up to the gas meter will
also be replaced.
• If your gas meter is located inside
of your home or business, it will be
relocated outside.
• Your gas service will be temporarily
turned off but will be restored as
quickly as possible, in most cases
