LOCATION: Macy’s, 7855 Kew Avenue, Rancho Cucamonga
SUSPECT(S): Mark McDuffie, Age 42, Resident of Apple Valley
VICTIM(S): Macy’s
SUMMARY: On May 8, 2025, at 12:57 P.M., deputies from the Rancho Cucamonga Sheriff’s Station responded to a report of a theft at Macy’s in Rancho Cucamonga. Loss prevention personnel provided deputies with a description of the suspect and the vehicle he used to flee the scene.
Deputies conducted an area search and located the suspect vehicle traveling along Foothill Boulevard. As deputies approached, the suspect began discarding merchandise from the vehicle. A traffic stop was initiated, and deputies contacted the driver and sole occupant, Mark McDuffie. McDuffie initially provided a false identity. A records check revealed McDuffie had a no-bail warrant for his arrest and further investigation connected him to multiple theft cases in the cities of Victorville, Montclair, and West Covina.
During a vehicle search, deputies recovered the stolen merchandise from Macy’s. McDuffie was arrested and transported to the West Valley Detention Center where he was booked on numerous charges, including the no bail warrant.
