Beginning Monday, May 12^th, at approximately 7:30 am, the City’s contractor Upstate Companies will be closing the intersection of Market Street and South Main Street in order to repair asphalt surfaces and drainage structures damaged as a result of the water main break that occurred on March 12^th.  This work is expected to continue throughout the week.  During this closure, access to and from the businesses along South Main Street will only be via Main Street.  Also, traffic on Market Street will be limited to periodic one lane in this area.  Some sidewalks will also be closed and there will be no street parking in the immediate work areas.
 
Please avoid this area if at all possible.  Please exercise extreme caution and obey all traffic control devices and flaggers.

The City will issue periodic project updates or changes via Nixle PSA as needed.
