The Fremont Police Department will be conducting a DUI checkpoint on May 15, 2025 from 7:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.
The primary purpose of DUI checkpoints is to promote public safety by taking suspected impaired drivers off the road. Impaired driving can come from alcohol, drugs, including prescription or over-the-counter drugs. While medicinal and recreational marijuana are legal, driving under the influence of marijuana is illegal.
