INCIDENT: CVC 10851 - Grand Theft Auto, PC 496D(A) - Possession of a Stolen Vehicle and PC 3056 - Violation of Parole
LOCATION: Needles Highway and Aha Macav Parkway, Needles, CA
SUSPECT(S): Francisco Munoz, 30 Years Old, Resident of Los Angeles, CA
VICTIM(S): CONFIDENTIAL
SUMMARY: On Monday, May 12, 2025, at approximately 2:48 a.m, deputies assigned to the Colorado River Station/Needles Police Department conducted an area check near Needles Hwy and Park Street, regarding a stolen vehicle in the area.
Deputies located the vehicle near the area of Budweiser Rd and Needles Hwy. Deputies followed the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop near Aha Macav Pkwy and Needles Hwy. A records check confirmed the vehicle was stolen and the driver, Francisco Munoz, was detained.
Through investigation, Munoz was found to be in violation of CVC 10851- Grand Theft Auto, PC 496D(A)- Possession of a Stolen Vehicle and PC 3056-Violation of Parole. Munoz was subsequently arrested and transported to the Colorado River Station jail for booking. Munoz remains in the custody of the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department with no bail, awaiting a court hearing.
