Summary:
 
Cruising the Boulevard, Inc. is having their annual Car Show and Cruise on Saturday, May 17, 2025, in Downtown Petaluma.  This will be celebrating the 18^th anniversary of this event.  They are requesting street closures for the purpose of the Car Show and Cruise. The event is scheduled to start at 10:00 am and end at approximately 8:00 pm (10 hours).  The cruise portion of the event begins at 4:00 pm.  Road closures associated with this event will take effect starting at 5:00 am.  The road closures will remain in effect until 8:00 pm.
 
Road closures will include the following:
 

• Water St, American Alley, Telephone Alley, and the A St Parking Lot
• Petaluma Blvd (between D St and Washington St)
• #2 Eastbound lane of Washington St (between Keller St and Petaluma Blvd N)
• Western Avenue (between Petaluma Blvd N and Keller St)
• 4^th St / Kentucky St (between D St and Washington St)
• B St (between 2^nd St and 5^th St)
• C St (between 2^nd St and 5^th St)
• 2^nd St (between C St and D St)

 
In addition to the above closures, the intersection of Petaluma Blvd S at D Street will be adjusted for the cruise portion of the event and traffic will be diverted for the safety of motorists and pedestrians in the area.  The following changes will go into effect at Petaluma Blvd S and D Street at 3:45pm. 
 

• Eastbound and Westbound traffic on D Street will be condensed to one lane in each direction starting at 4:00pm for the actual cruise portion of the event. 

 

• Westbound traffic on D St will not be allowed to continue Westbound across Petaluma Blvd S.  Traffic will be detoured Southbound on Petaluma Blvd S from D Street at the intersection.

 

• Northbound traffic on Petaluma Blvd S will not be allowed to turn Westbound onto D Street.  Traffic will be detoured Eastbound on D Street at the intersection.

 
During the Cruise, classic cars that are entered in the event will be exiting D Street and have the option of driving Westbound on D Street to 10^th Street.  They will make a right turn and continue Northbound on 10^th Street until B Street.  The cars will then turn right onto B Street and continue Eastbound until they re-enter the event, B Street at 4^th Street.
 
The Police Department will be working this event to reasonably accommodate any traffic related issues. The Petaluma Police Department appreciates the public’s patience and understanding, and requests those who cannot avoid the area to allow plenty of time for travel and seek alternative routes around the affected roadways.
