                   Confidential Juvenile, Age 1

SUMMARY: On Sunday, May 11, 2025, at approximately 1:27 A.M., deputies from the Rancho Cucamonga Sheriff’s Station responded to a call for service regarding a welfare check for children heard crying at the location.

Upon arrival, deputies heard children crying and screaming from within the residence. Deputies attempted to make contact by knocking on the door for several minutes but received no response. Out of concern for the safety of the children, deputies forced entry into the home. Inside, they discovered two juveniles left unattended, one of whom was found locked inside a bedroom.

Several minutes after deputies entered the residence, a female subject, later identified as Jacquelyn Michelle Viotto, returned to the home. Through the course of the investigation, it was determined that Viotto had left the children unsupervised for approximately two hours. San Bernardino County Children and Family Services responded to the scene and took custody of both children.

Viotto was arrested and booked into the West Valley Detention Center for PC273A(A)- Child abuse with possible great bodily injury/death.
