Wilmington Police have arrested a man on gun charges.
On May 11, at approximately 2:24 p.m., members of the Uniformed Services Division conduced a vehicle stop in the 1200 block of West 4th Street. At this time, the front passenger exited the vehicle and fled on foot. Following a brief foot pursuit, police took 22-year-old Shyquan Hall into custody without incident, and recovered a loaded 9mm handgun.
Hall has been charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition by a Person Prohibited – Two Counts
- Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon
- Resisting Arrest
He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and was committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $22,000 cash-only bail.
