Curb Reimagined public engagement session reminder
Hoboken community members are invited to an in-person community engagement session tomorrow, May 14, from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Wallace Elementary School, 1100 Willow Ave. to provide input for the Curb Reimagined project. The project team seeks feedback on proposed curbside management, parking, and mobility strategies to create Hoboken’s first Curbside Mobility and Parking Action Plan, which will influence how the City manages curb space to better serve residents, businesses, and visitors.
Proposed strategies include: expanding neighborhood loading zones to curtail double parking; “smart” loading zones to increase turn over and improve availability for delivery vehicles; formalized stops for Hop buses and other activations like bike parking, green infrastructure, and bike share stations for daylit intersections; expanding the Corner Car program; creating a live mobile app-based parking availability map; and more.
Community members can learn more about the Curb Reimagined project and take an online survey to provide feedback at hobokennj.gov/curbmanagement. The survey will remain open until May 30 at 11:59 p.m.
A virtual community meeting will also take place on Thursday, May 22, from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Registration is available online at hobokennj.gov/curbmanagement.
