Road Closures:
Many roads in town remain closed and impassable, including Ross Street, Lincoln Drive, Main Street, and Waverly Street. Crews are actively working to clear and reopen these areas.

Water Issues:
Our filter plant team is currently addressing multiple mainline breaks. Unfortunately, we’ve lost all of our equipment, but Carl Belt is on the way to assist in restoring service. At this time, Franklin and Brophytown are without water.
If you have a water leak at your home, please call the City Building at 301-359-3932 ext. 12 or 13. We may not be able to respond immediately, but we are keeping a list and will address each situation as soon as possible.

Garbage Pickup:
There will be no garbage pickup until next week.

Downtown Access:
Please do not come into the downtown area. The Sheriff’s Department is on site ,restricting access, and contractors are actively working to clean up the area.

Supply Drop-Off:
Supplies are currently being distributed at the former Lutheran Church on the corner of Front and Fusner Streets, now known as Mountain Top Transformation. This may change once downtown is cleared—we’ll provide an update if the location moves.
