Man arrested in Maple Shade for multiple firearms and drug related charges near a school. 
Maple Shade Police Chief Christopher J. Fletcher announces the arrest of one individual for multiple gun related charges, as well as multiple drug related charges, including Possession of CDS with Intent to Distribute within 1,000 feet of school property.
Kasiem Brown, 51, of Maple Shade, was arrested at a residence located in the 800 block of N. Forklanding Road in the early morning hours on Wednesday, May 14, 2025. During the arrest, multiple items of contraband were seized to include over $10,000.00 in cash; and a quantity of suspected crack cocaine, marijuana and heroin. Additionally, an “AR” style rifle and two handguns were seized.
Brown was charged with a total of 14 charges; which included certain person’s not to have a weapon, possession of a weapon with CDS, three counts of unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of hollow-point ammunition, possession of a high capacity magazine, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, cocaine and heroin, possession of CDS with intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of school property, and possession of marijuana, cocaine and heroin. Brown was subsequently lodged in the Burlington County Jail pending a first appearance in court.
The investigation was conducted by the Burlington County Prosecutors Office and the Maple Shade Police Department, with assistance from the New Jersey State Police – TEAMS Unit.
All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
