Animal Control Needs Your Help. The facility will be Temp. Closed. Animals in need of homes asap.
Hello Animal Lovers!
The City of East Chicago is in urgent need of your help. Due to recent events, we no longer have staff at our Animal Control Facility.
We need to temporarily close our facility for 45 to 60 days to make necessary repairs to the facility as well as HIRE and TRAIN new staff.
We have 14 dogs in our care that need to be relocated to other facilities so they can be fostered or adopted out immediately. We are urgently seeking placement for them, ideally by the end of the day on Friday, May 16th.
Attached are a couple of photos. We can send more if you are interested. Most of the dogs are small Pit Bull or Am Staff mixes. There are a couple with heartworm; our vet is giving them the two-injection treatment.
If you can offer any assistance or have any suggestions, please feel free to email or call Diana [email protected] (219) 391-8467 or Natalie [email protected] (219) 391-8482.
