Narrative:
In March of 2025, the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Sexual Assault Unit was informed by a neighboring agency that they were investigating a sexual assault that occurred in the city of Camarillo.

During the investigation, it was discovered that while (S) Ronald Wilson was employed as a coach and teacher at Camarillo High School, he initiated a relationship with a female juvenile student.  He began sexually assaulting the victim over a span of several years, while she attended the high school.  The assaults occurred on and off campus at other known locations.

On May 13, 2025, detectives from the Timnath Police Department, Ventura County Sheriff’s Office, and Larmier County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team executed a search warrant at Wilson’s residence in Timnath, CO.  Wilson was arrested by the Timnath Police Department and booked at the Larmier County Sheriff’s Office jail.  Wilson was arrested for Penal Code 261.5(d)- Unlawful Sexual Intercourse (Victim under 16, Suspect over 21), Penal Code 288(c)(1) – Lewd Act Upon a Child (Age 14-15, 10 Yrs Difference), Penal Code 288.3(a) – Contact with Minor for Sex Offense, Penal Code 288.4(b) – Meeting Minor for Lewd Purpose, and Penal Code 286(b)(1) – Sodomy of Person Under 18.

The Oxnard Union High School District is aware of the arrest and is fully cooperating with the investigation.  They are committed to supporting the victim and ensuring a safe environment for all members of their school community. The district strongly encourages students, parents, families, and staff to immediately report inappropriate behavior they have experienced to a trusted adult on campus or through their We Tip hotline: 1-800-78-CRIME.

The investigation into this crime is ongoing.  There is a possibility other people might have been victimized in a similar manner by Wilson.  If you are a victim or have any information regarding this investigation, you can contact Detective Rico Rinaldi at (805) 384-4732 or by email at [email protected].  Callers can remain anonymous.

The Ventura County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Sexual Assault Unit is committed to the safety of our community’s youth.  The access afforded to young people online can be overwhelming and is opportunistic to sexual predators.  Information about online safety is available from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children at www.missingkids.org.  Age-appropriate education presentations are available as well as multiple other educational topics related to the safety of our youth.  We encourage all parents to talk to their children about the risks associated with internet predators and to report any matters to law enforcement they feel are inappropriate or criminal in nature.
