Wilmington Police have arrested a wanted man on a drug charge.
On May 12, at approximately 9:54 a.m., members of the Special Operations Division Traffic Unit responded to the 700 block of East 17th Street, in reference to an on-going traffic investigation. Upon arrival, police made contact with 22-year-old Shannon Johnson who was found to be wanted on an unrelated matter. Following a brief investigation, police recovered 21 grams of crack cocaine, and $1,289.
Johnson has been charged with the following offense in addition to his outstanding warrant:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver in Tier 2 Quantity
He was arraigned in the New Castle County Court of Common Pleas and was released after posting $20,000 secured bail.
