TRAFFIC ADVISORY - Street Closures Announced for Drive-Up and Go Food Distribution - Wednesday, May 21, 2025
Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr., announces that the following streets will be closed during the below designated hours due to the City of Newark’s Drive Up and Go Food Distribution event:
Beginning from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. – Wednesday, May 21, 2025
South Orange Avenue between Camden Street and South 7th Street
The food drive begins at 10 a.m. and will be held at South Orange Avenue and Littleton Avenue.
Drivers are advised to anticipate delays and plan alternate routes.
Director Miranda thanks you in advance for your patience and cooperation during this event. He also urges anyone with information regarding criminal activities to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
