Severe weather concerns are expected to ramp up this evening into the early overnight.
Key Points:
Storm coverage is expected to be highest in the level 3 risk area with significant severe hazards possible. This includes:
•Damaging wind gusts to 60mph with potential for higher gusts over 75mph
•Hail up to or even larger than golf ball size (1.75”+)
•A strong tornado (EF-2+) can’t be ruled out, especially towards the Michigan border.
Storm coverage is expected to be more limited in the level 2 risk area. Not everyone will see a storm. This is due to a cap in place which may cause storms to struggle to form at all. Hazards for this zone include:
•Hail up to or even larger than golf ball size (1.75”+)
•Damaging winds to 60mph
•A couple tornadoes can’t be ruled out, but no strong tornadoes are expected
Main timeframe will be from about 7:00pm ET to 2:00am ET.
Storm direction will be east-northeast at 40-50mph
Have multiple ways to receive warnings tonight, including:
•EAS alerts turned on in your phone settings

Stay safe everyone!
