Through investigation, and with the help of the public, one of the suspects was identified as Diontrey Phillips.
During the robbery, Phillips and a second unidentified male suspect fled the scene in a green 2007 Saturn Vue SUV. The victim recorded a short video of Phillips as he fled and posted the video on social media.
On May 14, 2025, at about 7:24 p.m., Phillips was located at his residence in Apple Valley and was arrested without incident. Phillips was booked at the High Desert Detention Center for PC 211 – Armed Robbery and remains in custody on $200,000 bail.

SUMMARY: On Sunday, May 11, 2025, at 11:13 a.m., deputies responded to a robbery near the area of Dos Palmas Road and Amethyst Road in an unincorporated area of Victorville.
Two unidentified male suspects arrived at the location and approached a flower vendor. The suspects selected flowers and when the vendor requested payment, one of the suspects brandished a firearm. The suspects stole the flowers and fled the location.
