Southeastern Camden County in southern New Jersey... Southeastern Gloucester County in southern New Jersey... Northern Cape May County in southern New Jersey... Southeastern Burlington County in southern New Jersey...

* Until 145 PM EDT.

* At 1249 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from Chesilhurst to Newfield to near Seabrook Farms, moving southeast at 35 mph. HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

* Locations impacted include... Vineland, Atlantic City, Millville, Bridgeton, Ocean City, Cumberland, Pleasantville, Hammonton, Somers Point, Ventnor City, Brigantine, Northfield, Absecon, Margate City, Buena, Egg Harbor City, Laurel Lake, Alloway, Weymouth, and Woodbine.

Instructions:

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the basement or small central room in a sturdy structure. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. In addition to large hail and damaging winds, frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms. Move indoors immediately. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning. Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
