It is now estimated that the main transmission line feeding the south side of the Village may not be restored until 8 p.m. tonight. This means other circuits will not come online until some time after that. Furthermore, the list of customers with outages continues to grow, and there are many trees and other obstacles that must be cleared before service can be restored.
Customers also need to be aware that if the meter base or service mast at their location is damaged, it will need to be repaired by an electrician prior to being repowered. If you see this type of damage, you may want to contact an electrician now to get on their list.
Customers with no power and no significant property damage can expect power to be restored this weekend, most by tomorrow evening.
