LOCATED and IN-CUSTODY - Escaped Patient from the Minnesota Sex Offender Program in Saint Peter 
LOCATED & IN- CUSTODY - STEVEN EDWARDS has been located in the State of Missouri and has been taken into custody.
At about 5:20 PM on Saturday May 17, 2025, Saint Peter Police were notified of an escapee from the Minnesota Sex Offender Program in Saint Peter.
Officers immediately responded to the area to began a search for the suspect. The suspect is identified as STEVEN LOREN EDWARDS, 53 years old. EDWARDS is a white male 5 foot 6 inches tall, weighing about 265 lbs, bald head with white facial hair trimmed into a goatee, and blue eyes. He was last known to be wearing a black sweatshirt, black pants, and black tennis shoes.
At this time, EDWARDS was last seen on the Saint Peter Regional Treatment Center Campus at 6:53 PM on May 16, 2025.
If you see EDWARDS do not approach him, immediately notify 911 with his location and direction of travel.
