An update for our valued Village of Paw Paw Electric customers: It's been a team effort! Our tree crews put in tremendous work overnight, clearing the way for our electrical linemen to make significant progress this morning. We're happy to announce that power is now restored to 90-95% of customers, as well as the schools and bus garage.
We recognize that some homes and individual residents are still experiencing outages, and we want to assure you that we are working diligently to reach everyone. The remaining restorations are often individual and more involved, which will likely push completion into tomorrow. Our aim is to have power fully restored to all customers by the end of tomorrow, excluding those needing individual electrical service or mast repairs.
Furthermore, we are compiling a list of homes that will require a post-restoration inspection. If your property is on this list, we will reach out to you. These are instances where minor electrical work is needed, but our utility workers have determined it's safe to restore power in the meantime. These customers will have a 10-day period to have the required work completed by a licensed electrician and inspected by Safebuilt. Please note that failure to complete the repairs and inspection within this 10-day window will result in a temporary disconnection of service until the work is finalized.
