Wilmington Police have arrested a man on gun and drug charges following an investigation.
Beginning in May, members of the Drug, Organized Crime, and Vice Division have been conducting an investigation into 23-year-old Martell Warner for illegal drug sales and firearm possession. On May 14, at approximately 8:00 a.m., police executed search warrants in the 900 block of East 17th Street, and the 800 block of North Spruce Street. Police took Warner into custody without incident, and recovered a loaded 9mm handgun, 3.63 grams of crack cocaine, 94.67 grams of marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.
Warner has been charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony
- Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited
- Receiving a Stolen Firearm
- Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver – Two Counts
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
He was arraigned in the New Castle County Court of Common Pleas and was released on $33,000 unsecured bail.
