Wilmington Police have arrested a Claymont man in connection to a shots fired incident.
On May 14, at approximately 7:35 p.m., members of the Uniformed Services Division responded to the 300 block of North Market Street, in reference to a shots fired incident with no injuries. Upon arrival, police made contact with 39-year-old Lamar Gregory of Claymont, who was taken into custody without incident, and recovered a loaded 9mm handgun. Through the course of their investigation, police determined that Gregory was involved in a vehicle collision, at which time he discharged a firearm at the other vehicle involved.
Gregory has been charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony – Two Counts
- Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited
- Aggravated Menacing
- Reckless Endangering (First Degree)
He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and was committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $47,000 cash-only bail.
