During Severe Weather, the BEST source of immediate weather information and Alerts is the National Weather Service (NWS). There are SEVERAL options as to how you can get your alerts and information. Local Television and Radio (News) Stations and Social Media such as X (aka Twitter). NWS rarely puts immediate Warnings on Facebook. Daviess County is not responsible nor authorized to declare watches and warnings. Those can ONLY be issued by the National Weather Service. Daviess County Emergency Services will make attempts to relay those watches and warnings as they are able.
