Arrest made for the murder of 33-year-old Rashaun Snell 
On Sunday, May 18, 2025, shortly before 8 P.M., The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office was informed of a gunshot wound located in Sheldon on Kelly Road.
When deputies arrived at the residence on Kelly Road, they discovered deceased 33-year-old Rashaun Snell suffering from several gunshot wounds.
Upon further investigation, deputies learned that Snell and 32-year-old Unique Ford had entered a verbal altercation that resulted in Ford shooting several times at Snell. Ford then tried to flee the scene in a green sedan but after crashing his vehicle continued to flee on foot.
Once learning this, deputies obtained three warrants on 32-year-old Unique Ford for Murder, Possession of a Weapon during a Violent Crime, and Aggravated Breach of Peace. Ford turned himself into the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office yesterday, May 19, 2025.
