INCIDENT: DUI Patrols
LOCATION: Adelanto
SUMMARY: The Victor Valley Sheriff’s Station will be out on Friday, May 24th and Saturday, May 25th, from 6:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m., looking for drivers suspected of driving under the influence (DUI), throughout the city of Adelanto.
“Our top priority is keeping our community safe” said Sgt. S. Nobles. “Every year, too many lives are lost due to impaired driving – lives that could have been saved by making a smarter choice.”
Tips from Victor Valley Station:
• Plan ahead: designate a sober driver or use a rideshare service.
• If you see someone who is impaired trying to drive, take their keys and help them get home safely.
• If you suspect a drunk driver is on the road, call 911 and report it immediately.
The Victor Valley Sheriff’s Station reminds all residents that driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is dangerous, illegal, and entirely preventable.
