Wilmington Police have arrested two men on drug charges.
On May 20, at approximately 9:40 a.m., members of the Drug, Organized Crime, and Vice Division were in the 1700 block of West 3rd Street, when they observed two male subjects engaged in drug-related activity. Police made contact with 36-year-old James Cooper, and 52-year-old Jay Tabron, who were taken into custody without incident. Police recovered 3.74 grams of crack cocaine and 1.56 grams of heroin.
Cooper has been charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver
- Possession of a Controlled Substance in Tier 1 Quantity
- Possession of a Controlled Substance
He was arraigned in the New Castle County Court of Common Pleas and was committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution pending further proceedings.
Tabron has been charged with the following offense:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver
