Highland Park and New Brunswick will be jointly hosting a Memorial Day Parade on Monday, May 26th. beginning at 11:00 a.m. . The parade will begin in New Brunswick and proceed onto Route 27 (Raritan Avenue), continuing into Highland Park and concluding at the Doughboy Monument—located at the intersection of Route 27 and Woodbridge Avenue. A brief ceremony honoring fallen service members will be held at the monument following the parade.
The parade is expected to arrive in Highland Park at approximately 11:30 a.m. During this time, vehicle traffic will be restricted on Route 27. Motorists are strongly encouraged to avoid the area between 11:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. to minimize delays and ensure public safety.
To accommodate the event, parking on Route 27 will be prohibited on Monday, May 26, from 6:00 a.m. until the conclusion of the parade. Vehicles parked in violation of this restriction may be subject to towing.
