Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr. seeks the public’s help in identifying the suspect pictured below, who broke into a convenience store and stole boxes of cigarettes valued at $2,000 on May 21, 2025.
At approximately 1:16 a.m., the suspect was captured on surveillance video using a metal object to pry open the door at Krauszer’s Food Store & Deli in the 200 block of Market Street. Once inside, the suspect left but returned with a black garbage bag. The suspect, who wore a black and white sweater, went behind the counter and filled the bag with several boxes of cigarettes before leaving.
