Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda Sr. seeks the public’s help identifying the below-pictured suspect, who stole a delivered package from the front steps of a home on May 19, 2025.
The theft, captured on surveillance video, occurred at approximately 10 a.m., when the suspect walked up the front steps to a home in the 80 block of West End Avenue. He removed the package, which contained clothing, and fled south on West End Avenue. The suspect, a Black male with a slim build, wore a red hooded sweatshirt, red sweat pants, a black jacket, and red sneakers with white laces.
Director Miranda urges anyone with information on the suspect’s identity to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are confidential and could result in a reward.
