1. Kidnapping (1406) March Lane and Interstate
5, Lakeview District
The female victim, 38, was in the listed area when the known suspect brandished a knife at her and ordered her to drive him to another location. The victim complied, and while driving, the suspect repeatedly struck the victim. Upon reaching the location, the suspect vandalized the victim's vehicle and fled. The victim was uninjured. SUSPECT: Hispanic male adult.
2. Person Shot (Self-inflicted)(1931) 700 Block of East Second Street, Seaport District
Officers responded to the area on a report of a person shot and located the male subject, 48, suffering from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. The subject was transported to an area hospital for treatment of a non-life-threatening injury.
3. Battery on an Officer (2327) 6900 Block of North El Dorado Street, Lakeview District
Officers were transporting the arrestee for battery-related charges when he began kicking the patrol car doors. The arrestee spat on officers and continued kicking the vehicle. The officers restrained the arrestee to prevent injury to themselves and the arrestee. ARRESTED: Ronzel Cooper, 34, for battery on an officer and vandalism charges.
4. Homicide (2330) 2400 Block of East Main Street, Park District
Officers responded to the listed area on a report of a person shot. Upon arrival, officers located the male victim, 30, suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to an area hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. Detectives responded and assumed the investigation.
