Flood Advisory until 04:15PM 
* WHAT...Arroyo and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of north central New Mexico, including the following counties, north central Los Alamos, south central Rio Arriba and northwestern Santa Fe.
* WHEN...Until 415 PM MDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 117 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to slow moving thunderstorms near and north of Los Alamos. This will cause arroyo and small stream flooding. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. - This includes the following streams and drainages... San Antonio, Arroyo / Pojoaque River, Plaza Larga, Arroyo de la, Santa Clara Creek, Agua Piedra Canyon, Vayarequa, Arroyo de, Chama, Rio, Guachupangue, Arroyo de, Oso, Rio del, Santa Cruz River, Gallina Creek and Grande, Rio. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Espanola, Santa Clara Pueblo and San Ildefonso Pueblo. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Instructions:
To escape rising water, take the shortest path to higher ground. Both localized and distant heavy rainfall will create sudden and dangerous flows in arroyos and over low water crossings.
