May 11th
Driving Under the Influence – Portero Ave. / Eastshore Blvd:
At 10:04 PM, officers report that a vehicle exited the I-80 off ramp at a high rate of speed before colliding with another vehicle. Officers arrived on scene and conducted a DUI investigation. During the investigation, officers found the  suspect to be under the influence of alcohol. The suspect was arrested, booked at the El Cerrito Police Department, and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

May 12th

May 13th
Stolen Vehicle – San Pablo Ave. / Waldo Ave.
At 8:48 AM, an officer located a parked unoccupied reported stolen vehicle. The vehicle was impounded, and the owner was contacted.

Stolen License Plates – 6500 block of Schmidt Ln.
At 3:41 PM, a victim reported their license plates were stolen off their vehicle.

Driving Under the Influence - 1400 Block of Elm St.
At 11:25 PM, officers responded to the area for a vehicle collision. During a DUI investigation, officers found one of the drivers to be under the influence of alcohol. The driver was arrested, booked the El Cerrito Police Department, and released with a citation to a sober friend.

Vandalism - 1600 Block of Elm St.
At 11:57 PM, an officer reports a suspect shattered a window to the victim’s vehicle.

May 14th
Reckless Burning – Key Blvd. / Humboldt Ave. (Baxter Creek)
At 7:42 AM, an officer reports a suspect started a small fire in the creek. The fire was safely put out by the El Cerrito Fire Department. Officers located and arrested the subject. The subject was issued a citation and released on scene.  

Auto Burglary – 7300 block of Pebble Beach Dr.
At 10:21 AM, an officer reports the victim’s parked vehicle had been broken into and items inside stolen. 

Warrant Arrest – 10900 San Pablo Ave. (ECPD):
At 2:52 PM, an officer reports a suspect turned themselves in due to a warrant for their arrest. The suspect was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and transported to the Martinez Detention facility.

Shoplifting - 1000 El Cerrito Plaza (Lucky):
At 6:36 PM, an officer reports a suspect grabbed several items and fled the store prior to police arrival.

May 15th 
Public Intoxication / Possession of Drug Paraphernalia / Battery on Peace Officer – 11450 San Pablo Ave.
At 11:00 AM, an officer conducted a pedestrian stop after witnessing the subject drinking in public. During a search incident to arrest, officers found the subject to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. The suspect pushed the officer before being taken into custody. The subject was transported directly to the Martinez Detention Facility for being too intoxicated to care for themselves.

Shoplift – 6000 El Cerrito Plaza (Marshalls):
At 2:04 PM, a suspect stole items and fled the area prior to police arrival.

Petty Theft - 2000 Block of Junction Ave.
At 12:11 AM, an officer was alerted of a stolen license plate within the city. Officers discovered the vehicle and found the suspect stole the license plates off the victim’s vehicle and replaced them with stolen plates of another vehicle.

May 16th
Robbery – 6000 El Cerrito Plaza (Marshalls):
At 8:54 PM, an officer reports the suspects entered the business and attempted to steal items before shoving an employee while fleeing. 

May 17th
Driving Under the Influence – Carlson Blvd. / Folsom Ave.
At 1:59 AM, officers conducted a traffic enforcement stop. During a DUI investigation, officers found the driver to be under the influence of alcohol. The driver was arrested, booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and released with a citation to a sober friend.

Driving Under the Influence – San Pablo Ave. / Knott Ave.
At 3:38 AM, officers responded to a report of an unconscious driver on the roadway. Officers arrived on scene and contacted the driver. During the investigation, officers found the driver to be under the influence of alcohol. The driver was arrested, booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and released with a citation to a sober friend.

Grand Theft – 6060 El Cerrito Plaza (Marshalls):
At 3:06 PM, an officer took a report of a theft that occurred sometime on 5/15/2025.
