Activity for May 23, 2025, through May 26, 2026:
May 23, 2025:

  • Officers were dispatched to 96 calls for service, conducted 29 traffic stops, and made 2 arrests.
  • Officer Tenney was dispatched to the 300 block of Clinton for a domestic situation.  He arrested a 41-year-old male for assault.
  • Officer Brooker was dispatched to the area of Taylor St. and Lansing Ave. to recover a stolen 2019 Nissan.
  • Officers and Reserve Officers assisted with Jackson High School’s graduation.
  • Sergeant Grove and Officer Schram conducted an OWI investigation near Wesley and MLK.  A 33-year-old male was arrested; BAC was 0.124.
  • Officer Albrecht conducted foot patrol in downtown Jackson.
May 24, 2025:
  • Officers were dispatched to 104 calls for service, conducted 42 traffic stops, and made 4 arrests.
  • Officer Reynaga conducted a traffic stop near Michigan Ave. at Brown St. and ultimately arrested a 57-year-old male on an outstanding felony warrant.
  • Officer Schram made a traffic stop near Morrell and Wisner Streets.  She ultimately arrested the 56-year-old male passenger for an outstanding misdemeanor warrant.
  • Officer Justice and other officers made contact with a 36-year-old male subject inside the Foundry, who was in violation of his conditional bond.  He was taken into custody and lodged at the Jackson County Jail.
  • Officer Schram was dispatched to the 400 block of Harwood where she made contact with a 38-year-old male who was intoxicated and in violation of his conditional bond.  The subject was lodged at the Jackson County Jail.
  • Officers Morse and Panther conducted extra patrol near construction sites in the City.
May 25, 2025:
  • Officers were dispatched to 69 calls for service, conducted 3 traffic stops, and made 2 arrests.
  • Officer Marcum and Officer Brooker investigated a domestic situation in the 500 block of Blair Park.  A 20-year-old male was arrested for the assault and for Resisting & Obstructing.
  • Officer Kuhn investigated an animal cruelty complaint, which was turned over to Jackson County Animal Control officers.
  • Officer Brooker conducted foot patrol at Reed Manor apartments.
  • Officer Panther was dispatched to the 100 block of Argyle for a deceased 78-year-old female subject.
  • Officer Soloman conducted a traffic stop near Michigan and West Avenues.  A 39-year-old male subject was arrested for OWI; BAC was 0.10. 
  • Officer Panther and other officers investigated a complaint regarding weapons in the 500 block of Steward Ave.  The alleged suspect was contacted, and no weapon was located.
  • Officers Morse and Panther conducted foot patrol in downtown Jackson.
May 26, 2025:
  • Officers were dispatched to 69 calls for service, conducted 7 traffic stops, and made 3 arrests.
  • Officer Marcum was dispatched to the 500 block of Lansing Ave. for a deceased 54-year-old male subject.
  • Officer Allison was sent to the 800 block of Jackson St. for a domestic situation.  A 24-year-old female was arrested for Resisting & Obstructing when officers attempted to contact her.
  • Officers and Reserve Officers assisted with the Memorial Day parade.
  • Officers were sent to the area of Franklin and First Streets for a fight.  Officer Soloman made contact with a 25-year-old male subject and arrested him for violating his conditional bond.
  • Officer Mills conducted a traffic stop near Second and Biddle Streets.  Ultimately the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department was contacted due to possible information connected to an open investigation of theirs.
  • Officer Soloman contacted a subject in the area of Homewild and Park Avenues.  The 33-year-old male was arrested for two warrants out of Ingham County.
  • Officer Goble was dispatched to the 100 block of Orange St. for a domestic situation.  The 40-year-old male suspect had fled the area prior to police arrival.
