Investigation underway into a shooting yesterday evening in Burton 
The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting incident that occurred around 6:30 P.M. Monday, May 26, 2025, in Burton.
Yesterday evening, The Communication Center received a call about a gunshot wound at a residence in the neighborhood of Inwood Estates in Burton. Once deputies arrived, they found one male individual suffering from a gunshot wound. The individual was transported to receive medical assistance due to his injuries.
This investigation is still ongoing.
