Upcoming June workshops on Trail Ecology and Trail Design 
On Saturday, June 7th (National Trails Day!), our Environmental Commission and the New York-New Jersey Trail Conference are partnering to offer a "Trail Layout & Design" Workshop. Participants will learn the essentials of trail design from a Trail Conference professional: how to lay out a trail on the ground, taking into consideration grades, soil types, points of interest, construction requirements, and water flow. They will also begin to help build a new trail to the Cranberry Overlook. You can register for that workshop here: New York-New Jersey Trail Conference
A second workshop, "Invasive Plant Management Tips and Techniques" will be Sunday, June 22nd, and will focus on invasive plant identification and removal. This workshop will take place in Tamarack Park and Glenside Woods. Register here: New York-New Jersey Trail Conference
