Bloomington Man Arrested after Firing a Gun in a Negligent Manner

INCIDENT: Discharging a Firearm in a Negligent Manner
LOCATION: Santa Ana Ave / Larch Ave - City of Bloomington
VICTIM: People of the State of California
SUSPECT: Jose Rodriguez, a 53-year-old resident of Bloomington
SUMMARY: Deputies from the Fontana Sheriff’s Station responded to the incident location to investigate a report of shots fired at a female as she walked towards her vehicle. During the investigation, several neighbors reported hearing multiple gunshots.With assistance from the Sheriff’s Aviation Division, deputies located an RV, occupied by Jose Rodriguez, in a large parking lot nearby. Several expended bullet casings were located on the ground near the door of the RV.
Several announcements were made for Rodriguez to exit the RV, without success. As deputies attempted to open the door, Rodriguez emerged without further incident.
Further investigation determined that Rodriguez had not shot at the female, but fired multiple gunshots into a pile of broken concrete as she left his residence. Four handguns and multiple rounds of ammunition were confiscated. Rodriguez was charged with discharging a firearm in a negligent manner.
