CAD CALLS: 953

1. Person Shot (Delayed) 1600 Block of East Miner Avenue, Park District

On 05/26/25, the victim was in the listed area when the suspects invited him behind a business. There, the suspects punched and shot the victim. The victim fled and later self-transported to an area hospital, where he was treated for a non-life-threatening injury. SUSPECTS: Two White male adults.

2. Weapon Arrest (1754) 600 Block of North Wilson Way, Park District

Officers contacted the occupants of a parked vehicle in the listed area. Officers searched the passenger, found he had a loaded handgun, and took him into custody. The driver of the car emerged from a local business, resisted, fought with the officers, and force was used to take him into custody. ARRESTED: #1 Devontae Holmes, 19, for weapon charges. #2 Joevante Briggs, 25, for resisting arrest and warrants.

3. Pursuit Arrest (2301) Hammer Lane and Tam O’Shanter Drive, Valley Oak District

Officers attempted a proactive traffic enforcement stop near the listed call location. The vehicle failed to yield, leading officers on a pursuit. The pursuit ended when the car collided with a fence, and the driver was taken into custody after a short foot pursuit. ARRESTED: Devin Hill, 21, for resisting arrest and evading charges.

4. Weapon Arrest (0133) 100 Block of East Weber Avenue, Civic District

Officers responded to a report of a vehicle collision in the listed area. Officers contacted the driver and passenger. The driver was visibly impaired, and officers took him into custody. Officers searched his vehicle and found a loaded firearm. ARRESTED: #1 Jacob Franco, 25, for DUI, weapon charges, and conspiracy. #2 Heather Dougherty, 24, for conspiracy and drug charges.

5. Assault with a Deadly Weapon Arrest (0235) 8600 Block of Acapulco Way, Bear Creek District

The female victim, 35, went to the listed area to check on a known suspect. The suspects answered the door and fired several rounds at the victim, but she was not hit. The suspects grabbed the victim, dragged her inside, and assaulted her with a metal tool. Officers responded, and while at the scene, the victim escaped the location. The victim declined medical treatment. ARRESTED: #1 Philicia Taylor, 36, for assault with a deadly weapon, kidnapping, and conspiracy. #2 Donald Walker Jr, 37, for assault with a deadly weapon, kidnapping, conspiracy, and weapon charges.

6. Robbery (0247) 4700 Block of Logistics Drive, Park District

The male victim, 46, was in the listed area sleeping in a vehicle when the suspect approached, opened the passenger side door, and got in. The suspect then asked for money and assaulted the victim. The suspect exited the vehicle and fled with the victim’s property. The victim was treated at an area hospital for a non-life-threatening injury. SUSPECT: White or Hispanic male.
