Elm Street will be CLOSED south of 60th Street starting June 2, 2025. The road closure near Elm School is for the replacement of water main and construction of a large box culvert to keep Elm Street from frequently flooding. This project will be completed and the roadway reopened by September 2025.
Elm Street north of 60th Street/Sedgley Road will be restricted to one-lane, two-way traffic starting June 9, 2025, during daytime hours. The disruption is for a water main project that connects the independent systems of Burr Ridge and Hinsdale which could be used to sustain both Villages with drinking water during an emergency. This project will be completed by July 2025.
