Monthly Stats for May 2025 
During the month of May 2025, the average response time for all calls for service was 6 minutes and 16 seconds. There were 8 Priority 1 Emergency calls during the month with an average response time of 3 minutes. These response times were derived from the 683 calls that qualify for response-time tracking.
During the month of May 2025, HPD responded to and handled 2,881 calls for service and reported incidents. 684 incidents were resident calls for service and 2,197 were officer-initiated incidents. HPD made 3 arrests and issued 72 total citations in the month.
We are actively investigating the attempted murder of a police officer that occurred on February 22nd (see previous press releases for information). In May, we investigated (2) residential burglaries and (0) “other” burglaries. In 2025, we have investigated (6) residential burglaries and 3 “other” burglaries (construction site, commercial, or vehicle).
Two (2) Vehicles were stolen from a residence on Carmelita during the early morning hours of May 1st. The keys to both vehicles were left inside of an unlocked vehicle in the driveway. Both stolen vehicles were recovered in the east bay. HPD Investigations is pursuing digital leads related to GPS and mobile tracking data. HPD is investigating two (2) residential burglaries that occurred on May 29th. One burglary was reported on Chiltern, and one occurred on Forest View. Evidence indicates that both were committed by the same suspects. HPD Investigations has video of the suspects as well as their potential vehicle and are following up on leads. All three (3) of our arrests were the result of proactive police patrols where subjects with outstanding warrants were contacted and arrested.
