SC law enforcement and SCDOT to conduct hurricane evacuation exercise on Wednesday, June 4
Hurricane season is here and that means that NOW is the time to prepare for hurricanes and the impacts that follow.
Drivers along I-26, US-21, US-278, US-501, and SC-544 can expect to see an increased presence of law enforcement and SCDOT personnel on Wednesday, June 4, between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. as state and local partners test lane reversal plans for all three major coastal areas of the state.
Please note that this is only an exercise. No lanes will be reversed or blocked during the exercise.
As we all prepare for this hurricane season, please watch and share this important message from SC Highway Patrol Sergeant Tyler Tidwell, reminding motorists to stay on their designated route.
