NOTICE OF PUBLIC SAFETY TRAINING 
On June 4–5, 2025, Alameda County and Contra Costa County public safety-first responders will conduct a training exercise designed to enhance tactical preparedness and regional emergency response coordination. The exercise will involve law enforcement, fire, medical, and 9-1-1 communications personnel.
Training activities will take place in the vicinity of the site of the former E.L. Musick Elementary School located at 5735 Musick Ave, Newark, CA 94560.
During this time, the public may see emergency response vehicles and equipment staged nearby and may hear sirens, simulated gunfire, and other training-related sounds.
Please be advised that this is a planned exercise and not an actual emergency. There is no cause for concern.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
- Increased First Responder Activity: Police, Fire, EMS, and emergency management personnel will be participating in planned training drills and activities.
- Possible Media Presence: Local news outlets may be on-site to cover the event.
- Increased Noise: Sirens, simulated gun fire, public announcements, and other sounds related to the exercise may occur during event hours.
