Employment opportunity - Public Works Laborer

The Borough of Jamesburg Department of Public Works is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time laborer position. Duties will include but are not limited to: buildings and ground maintenance, grass cutting, operating a variety of motor vehicles including but not limited to dump trucks and other equipment used in public works services, must be available for snow and ice removal, collection of leaves, repairing potholes, and repairing stormwater systems. Applicants must be able to lift and move 60 pounds or more. Applicants will be required to work scheduled and emergency overtime. CDL Class A or B license is preferred, or if hired be able to acquire a license within one year. A background check and driver history check will be performed prior to hire. All applicants must reside in the State of New Jersey. The starting salary is $35,434.64 as governed by union contract. The benefits included are provided through the NJ State Health Benefit Plan and other dental plans.
