INCIDENT: PC 594(b)(1) Felony Vandalism
LOCATION: 7600 block of Pinon Drive, Town of Yucca Valley
SUSPECT(S): Dustin Schneider, 32-year-old male, resident of Big Bear
VICTIM(S): Confidential Victims / State of California
SUMMARY: On Tuesday, May 27, 2025, deputies responded to the 7600 block of Pinon Drive , in the Town of Yucca Valley. The victim called sheriff's dispatch and reported there was a male on her property, vandalizing her vehicle. The victim was watching the incident via her home video surveillance and provided live updates to the dispatcher. Deputies arrived on scene and found the suspect had drilled a hole through the bottom of the victim’s vehicle's fuel tank. The suspect placed the stolen fuel in a fuel can and fled the scene. The victim estimated approximately $1,200.00 or more in damage was caused to the vehicle.
Detectives assumed the investigation and identified the suspect as Dustin Schneider, a 32-year-old, male resident of Big Bear. On May 29, 2025, deputies from the Apple Valley Station, contacted Schneider during a vehicle check and placed him under arrest without incident.
Schneider was arrested and booked into the Hi Desert Detention Center in Adelanto for PC 594(b)(1) felony vandalism, with a bail amount set at $30,000.00 and a no bail warrant for violation of his Post Release Community Supervision.
