SUSPECT(S): Marcus Maddox, 34-year-old, resident of Victorville
Jason Hackett, 44-year-old, resident of Hesperia

SUMMARY: On June 2, 2025, at approximately 5:11 p.m., deputies with the Hesperia Police Department responded to Target, located at 12795 Main Street in the city of Hesperia, reference a reported robbery. Deputies learned the suspect concealed merchandise on his person while inside the location and was stopped by Target employees as he attempted to leave. The suspect refused to return the merchandise, pushed several employees and threatened to harm them. The suspect entered the passenger side of a vehicle and fled the location.
Deputies located the vehicle a short time later and made contact with two suspects. They recovered the stolen property along with burglary tools, and suspected narcotics. The suspects were identified as Marcus Maddox, 34-year-old resident of Victorville and Jason Hackett, 44-year-old resident of Hesperia.
Maddox was arrested and booked at High Desert Detention Center for PC211-Robbery, PC182(a)(1)-Conspiracy to Commit a Crime and PC422(a)-Threatening Crime Intent to Terrorize. Maddox was found to also have an active felony warrant for PC211-Robbery.
Hackett was arrested and booked at the High Desert Detention Center for PC211-Robbery, PC182(a)(1)-Conspiracy to Commit a Crime, HS11378-Possession of Methamphetamine for Sales and PC466-Possession of Burglary Tools.
