Dell Showers Community Center / Merriam Woods Betterment Association will be hosting a Military Honor-Guard detachment; on location at the Center (4385 State Highway 176, next to the police station) to honor Merriam Woods Citizen, City Employee, Charter Member of the Community Center and VETERAN... JACK GADBURY   To encourage community recognition and show distinguished reverence to this gentleman, in solidarity with the MWBA; the City has given permission for a 21-GUN Salute between the hours of 2:00PM and 3:00PM on Sunday, June 8, 2025.  The event is OPEN to the public so consider stopping by to show your respects.  *because the nature of the salute will involve multiple, simultaneous gunshots in seccession; the city wished to ensure the public was adequately informed and not alarmed by the event.
