Wilmington Police have arrested a wanted woman on robbery charges.
On June 1, at approximately 4:22 p.m., members of the Uniformed Services Division responded to the 700 block of North Market Street, in reference to a robbery. Upon arrival, police obtained a description of the suspect. A short time later, police located a suspect matching that description in the 300 block of West 7th Street. Police made contact with 28-year-old Asia Young, who was taken into custody without incident and found to be wanted on an unrelated matter.
Young has been charged with the following offenses in addition to her outstanding warrants:
- Robbery (Second Degree)
- Crime Against a Vulnerable Adult
She was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and was committed to the Delores J. Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution on $500 secured bail.
